Building a Legacy

A series of illustrations created for Kolos, the Mauritian cement company, to mark their 25th anniversary. The brief was to produce artwork for end-of-year employee gifts — a water bottle and a notebook — celebrating a quarter-century of building the island.

Each illustration puts the people who do the work front and centre: workers in hard hats, the handshake that closes a deal, the flag planted on a finished site, the iconic Kolos “K” carried, lifted, and grown like something alive.

Rendered in clean linework with selective colour, the pieces were assembled into a pattern that wraps the goodies — turning everyday objects into small tokens of pride for the team behind 25 years of concrete and ambition.
