Sébastien Tahucatte
My name is Sébastien Tahucatte, but everybody calls me Seba.
Seba Labs is a playground, a battleground, and a confluence of disciplines and influences — illustration, motion design, 3D animation, video production, comics, and AI-assisted content, all thrown into the same kitchen because the best work happens when you stop treating them like separate rooms.
I’m a visual experimenter based in Mauritius — a small volcanic speck in the Indian Ocean, on a slightly larger speck orbiting an unremarkable star in one galaxy among trillions — and I believe visuals don’t just communicate information, they carry emotional frequency, and the full spectrum is a tool I use all of it.
If your project needs someone who can think in systems, feel in colour, and deliver in pixels — we should talk.
Education
Great alloys are made by mixing unlikely elements under enough heat and pressure. What comes out is stronger than any of its parts.

Illustration Portfolio
Editorial, commercial, and narrative illustration. This portfolio covers work for book publishers, magazines, and digital content, drawn across a range of techniques: ink, digital painting, watercolour (analogue and digital), 3D rendering, cartoon, and bande dessinée. Different problems ask for different hands.
Editorial cartoons Portfolio
ver fifteen years of political and editorial cartooning for the Mauritian press and beyond — including L’Express, Transect Magazine, Koze, Vakarne, and Laf Labou. The subjects range from local politics and current world affairs to fiction and Mauritiana — the texture and rhythm of daily life on this island. One drawing, one idea, one punchline. The job is to make people think, and occasionally to make them uncomfortable enough to keep thinking.
Comics Portfolio
Short stories and one-shots — written and drawn, sometimes in collaboration with other writers. The work sits at the intersection of sci-fi, slice of life, and philosophy: stories about people in unusual circumstances asking the kind of questions that don’t have clean answers. Sequential storytelling from script to final page.
Design Portfolio
Brand identity, typography, layout, packaging, signage, motion — anything that deals with how to communicate on behalf of a client. Design, for me, is problem-solving with a visual vocabulary: how do you get people to feel a specific way about a brand, a product, or a message? That’s the puzzle. This portfolio is full of solved ones.
